When we were given the assignment to create a two color poster, I knew I wanted to do something relating to drone warfare.
Lester Beall’s patriotic work for the Rural Electrification Administration was my starting point, with its attention grabbing color and vivid stripes. I knocked the drone and missile out of the background to reinforce the fact that drones are impossible to spot, and to reinforce the idea that they are not a part of what we should envision as “American”.
